Guest guest
Carla, I have a few suggestions for improving verbal output of child during reading. 1. Have someone model the appropriate reading so the child can hear what is appropriate. 2. Get a hand held digital record or use a microphone on a computer (Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Sound Recorder) and record the model for the child to hear. 3. Use same recording technique to record the child so you can play it back to the child so they can hear what they sound like. 4. Come up with a consistent instruction to indicate what you want the child to do like " breath slow " , " say it nice " or whatever you like, so the child can be cued when they get off track. I'm working with a child that is showing some difficulty in his reading presentation, we believe, due to his breathing or inappropriate breathing during delivery when reading out loud. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work on this? Thanks in advance, Carla --------------------------------- Love cheap thrills?
