Guest guest
Marcella, Thank you for your kind inquiry. I don't know why the vitamin D in cod liver oil or as D itself make me cry. I have synthetic D (Allergy D for those allergic to fish) on hand to see if any D will do it, but waiting on that for now. I have heard that Krispin has seen this effect in others, but I haven't been willing to become her long distance patient to find out her direct response. I think the suggestion is to keep going through that phase and it will go away, but I am not willing to risk it. Hoping she'll talk about in in her book (Naked at Noon). It was supposed to come out in '02 sometime. I don't think the sobbing is because I am so low in it and going into overload. Vitamin D is a hormone and hormones affect each other so maybe taking the D throws many of the hormones out of balance for awhile and I am sensitive to even small hormone changes. I am also (contrary to what we worry about generally for the population) extremely low in omega 6s and off the charts high in omega 3s (serum fatty acid analysis by kennedy kreiger. see www.bodybio.com) (btw, body bio has a flax sunflower balanced oil made by omega nutrition if that will save someone a bottle on the kitchen table. Omega also has its own Essential Balance to help. www.omeganutrition.com.) If I regularly take foods or supplements with omega 6, more specifically - something like Evening Primrose Oil, I lose blood pressure and have to lie down flat within minutes after eating or vomit (soy and milk protein do this to me, too). This is fun in restaurants. It is worse if visiting relatives. They really think you do it for the attention! Not too bad at home as you see the cob webs you missed cleaning. Probably has to do with prostaglandin E1 and nitric oxide. I think the E2 path ok. That's the butter and animal food path. E1 is the plant path. Maybe my ancestors of way back were from the north pole. not much plant life there. So not only have I not answered your question, mine still lingers. But I probably have some special circumstances that don't apply to group at large. Is there any other experience out there with the vitamin d testing and bad reactions to cod liver oil/D in higher than usual doses. elly " We support one another in exploring Sally Fallon's b
