this is my first post, first time I've joined any group because my 16

yr old daughter's form of ocd is different from anything i've read

about - I am hoping that someone (parent or professional) can offer

some support. Basically, after beiung diagnosed at 10 years old,

prozac eliminated a short lived episode of 'ugly germs' and 'counting'.

What has remained is obsessiveness and extreme anxiety revolving around

friends - having friends and whether she is liked and wanting a

boyfriend. Peers are taken with her initially, but new friendships

and, in the last year, even long standing friends have been lost due to

self obsessive thinking/anxieties. each loss plunges her into

depression, avoidance, self destructive actions. If anyoe has dealt

with this I would love to hear from you.
