I encourage you to share this with professional service providers you use (swim instructors, hairdressers, dentist, etc) to enhance their understanding of autism and how they can help families and individuals. Also professional development hours are offered for NJ educators. " Autism Spectrum Disorders: What is it and how can everyone help? " is being presented for Autism Awareness Month. It will take place on Thursday April 27th, 2006 from 6-9pm in the media center of Timberlane Middle School in Pennington NJ 08534. Umstead, Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst, will share her personal and professional experiences with families and individuals affected by autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Hands on activities, lecture, and discussion will assist all audience members in learning how to interact effectively with individuals and their families.
