Guest guest
I'm currently a resident of Myrtle Beach, S.C., with a 7-year-old son with Autism. I'm originally from Japan. I met P., president of Mariposa School at Dr. Carbone's workshop last month. She was spending such a hectic time then due to the preparation for the workshop, however, she never hesitated to spare her precious time to introduce her and her school, or answering my silly questions. I've been shadowing autistic kids at several public schools for half a year so far, and now I realize the school quality or atmosphere are mostly dependent on its principal’s thought/acts. I've never been there yet, so you better go observe once until you make sure. I sent them an e-mail of inquiry for observation once, and they accepted really nicely indeed. If you see , you might know what I really wanted to mean here. And, excellent education sometimes costs, but it comes back along, somehow. Allow my poor English. MARIKO SANO [ ] Durham NC I have been working with a 6 year old who is moving to Durham, NC soon (from Texas) and will be living with his father who works during the day. It will be just the two of them. Can anyone please recommend an in home VB therapist or a school or day program that is reasonable in price and/or accepts insurance? The child is between beginner and intermediate on the ABLLS. This child does not have aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and works hard for appropriate reinforcement. He reads several sight words, and we have been working recently on increasing his mands. The father is going to check on the Mariposa School but has been told it is very expensive. If you know of options in Durham, please respond. Thank you, Cheryl Post message: Subscribe: -subscribe Unsubscribe: -unsubscribe
