Fed up with paying insurance premiums but not getting any coverage for medical

care and therapy needed by a family member on the spectrum? Help us stop this

gross injustice. Our kids are sick and they need the health care we are already

paying for.

Legislation is pending in the Albany that would prohibit discrimination

against people on the autistim spectrum by health insurance companies. A 699

introduced by Assemblymember Audrey Pheffer of Queens and S784 introduced

Senator Fuschillo of Nassau need your support.

An unprecedented coalition of every organization working on autism issues in

the State of New York has formed to get this legislation passed. And we need

your help. We are up against a trillion dollar industry. We need a flood of

emails, faxes, phone calls, letters and office visits pouring into elected

officials.

Every single communication is important. Sometimes it only takes one phone

call, or one story of desperately needed ABA denied, to get a legislator's

support. We don't have lobbyists and trainloads of cash like our opposition. So

we need you. The first thing you can do is click on the link below which will

take you to the ACHAMP website where you can send an emails directly to the key

elected officails and your own State Senator and Representative.

And stay alert for further needed actioon as the legislative session develops.
