Dear List Members,

I would like to make a breif introduction for members of this group that might

not know me. My name is Schramm and I am the Lead Behavior Analyst of the

German based ABA/VB institute called Knospe-ABA (www.knospe-aba.de). Our company

is now supporting the education of more than 100 children in 5 different

countries. In addition to my workshop presentations and consulting supervision,

I have been hard at work developing strategies that will help make the

procedures of ABA/VB even more family friendly and effective for children.

Although there is still much research and support that needs to be gathered over

some of these methods, including the use of mini-consequences, teaching arcs,

and the seven steps to instructional control, they are all based on the proven

principles of behavior and have been extremely successful in helping an ever

growing number of families and therapists get the most from their children.

I am posting to announce that I will be in the Los Angeles area from May 7th

through June 14th of this year. While there, I will be available to make just a

few appointments to offer my services as an ABA/VB consultant. Although I am not

offering an ongoing service, I am available, if you are currently supporting the

education of a child or children with autism and you would like to have an

independent evaluation made of your current program.

I know that there are many families who are unfortunately less than satisfied

with the progress that their child is making at the current time. I imagine

that it is likely very difficult for you to get qualified second opinions on the

techniques you are currently using with your child. I would be glad to come to

your home environment, evaluate your child and program make written

recommedations as well as offer specific behavior and learning programs designed

to help you maximize the teaching of your team. This consultation could be done

privately or with the participation of your entire team.

In addition to gaining outside support for VB programs that are up and running,

this type of consultation would be extremely beneficial for families who have

been working in a traditional ABA program and is now interested in converting to

a program based on the procedures of VB.

Obviously, this is a very small window of opportunity and I am planning only

accepting 2 or 3 consultation appointments during this trip. Whether a parent,

therapist, or consultant, if you are interested in having some outside support

or evaluation of your program and can make a weekday appointment between the

dates listed above, please email me privately at ruggerschr@... so that we

can discuss this opportunity in more detail.

Thanks for your time,

Schramm, MA, BCBA
