When my now 13 year old daughter was first really showing signs/symptoms of OCD,

I found a book entitled " Touch and Go Joe: An Adolescent's Experience of OCD " by

Joe Wells.  He looks at his disease and treatment in a unique and oftern

humorous way.  I tried to get my daughter to read it then, but she was still in

denial about her OCD.  I read it, and am going to try and have her read it this

year now that she has been seeing someone.

My 13 yr. old son and I read this book together last winter and I think that he

really enjoyed hearing how another teen dealt with his OCD and the humor was an

added bonus! It seemed to help us relax a little bit and to see that there is

hope for all who suffer with this brain disorder.
