Guest guest
Hi everyone! The 3 legged neospora case that I mentioned earlier is such a holy terror and so active that he requires monthly prolotherapy on his hyperextended carpus. He wears a brace (Icer) on it when he is out and about but can't tolerate the stiffener that would make his wrist collapse less and allow the prolo to stabilize it better. He is a hind leg amputee and the lesser weight bearing front leg has responded brilliantly to prolotherapy and very little bracing. Please see his website for pictures if necessary -landofpuregold.com/polar.htm There is extensive coverage of his life and times, his surgery, his therapy, etc. The video of his hydrotherapy shows his hyperextension in movement prior to his amputation; it has actually improved in the years since then. Only the left fore is problematic as a functional short leg. Does any one have suggestions about custom braces or molds that would help this high velocity tripod ? He is recertifying as a therapy dog this week! He so loves to show everyone that no matter what, he is the happiest dog in the world. A humbling lesson to all of us that think we have insurmountable disabilities! Judith M.
