My friend's child has this and they have been told that it is related to the

OCD. I say this because the Choline, Inositol, and 5 HTP / Tryptophan usually

help OCD symptoms. The files have the dosages suggested by Andy.

Good luck,

> What gets rid of verbal stims and why does he do it?

My son does it when he has yeast/bacteria and when he eats a

food/supplement he does not tolerate.

>> My son is

verbal (but very delayed in it). I can't stand the all day stimming

of sayings, long sentences, babbling, etc. Don't suggest time,

because this is going on 2-3 years of this now. He's 5 and it is

becoming socially unacceptable and very noticeable to others. We do

Cod Liver Oil and just about any other supplement imagineable.

Most supplements will cause problems for my son.

, Not sure this is exactly the same thing. My daughter

occassionally has what I call " vocalizations, " sounds that are not

words. When I treat for yeast (and bacteria at the same time), the

noises cease. For her, grapefruit seed extract with olive leaf

extract and NF or oil of oregano and NF works in about 20 minutes.

the years we've tried many, many therapies. Most effective was g/f

and c/f diet and secretin. The diet helped him improve from being

severely autistic to moderate. We've been able to be off g/f and

c/f diet for over a year now after experimenting with enzymes for

about 3 years.

> About 3 years ago, we fought our insurance company and won to have

IVIG treatments. Hindsight is 20/20 and we probably should've lost

that fight because IVIG made him worse. He didn't have that many

verbal stims but after 6 months of IVIG, it got really bad. To this

day, he can go on and on and on. It did improve. I can say it's

about 50% of what it use to be after IVIG, but it can get disruptive

in certain environments.

> I was reading a thread recently how fighting viruses can stir up

yeast, etc. Does anyone know if this increase in verbal stimming

can be caused by yeast? DJ never really had a problem with yeast so

I didn't think of it. I started the yeast protocol and was

wondering if you think this is worth a try and if so, what should

happen....will he get worse and then better? If nothing happens,

should I increase phenol or candidase?
