In September 2005 Brookfield Programs added a new clinic program to its

service delivery model. We are currently expanding this program, and can

take on some additional students at his time.

The clinic is designed for learners that have stalled or are

encountering significant learning obstacles or those who just wish to

“jump start” their programs. It provides direct service to students who

will be enrolled on a term by term basis from 3 to 15 hours per week

depending on their needs.

The clinic structure is organized to effectively integrate across

assessment, programming, teaching and training. Through hands on

training and ongoing monitoring, in the context of continuous

performance improvement, our aim is not only to build student

competencies but also to increase the capacity of those involved with

the child to teach effectively in a number of environments including

home, school and community settings. A fundamental goal is to

accelerate student progress while building instructor and parent skill

sets.

As the student, parents and instructors gain competency, the goal is to

fade the amount of clinic time required. Appropriate levels of support

will be given to aid and support these transitions and to maximize

functioning in the new environments. The clinic services are delivered

by highly trained, competent and committed instructors with ongoing

supervision provided by DeMarco, Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
