To those in the SF Bay Area:

PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) is an Atypical Parkinsonism disease

with many similarities to LBD. The Society for PSP is having a conference

this Saturday (4/8) afternoon for family members and those with PSP. The

Society for PSP recently confirmed the speakers for the conference and

three of the four will be speaking on topics of interest to caregivers of

those with LBD. So you might consider attending.

When: Saturday 4/8, registration opens at 11:30am, program is from 12:30pm

to 5pm

Where: Doubletree Hotel, Burlingame, near SFO, 650/344-5500,

sanfranciscoairport.doubletree.com

Cost: $25, which includes a light lunch and refreshments

RSVP: register at the door on Saturday*

Note: Parking is free

Speakers: (The last three are of general interest)

Dr. Tetrud, neurologist at the Parkinson's Institute, PSP overview

J. Heydon M.A. CCC-SLP, speech pathologist, speech and swallowing

problems

Ashwini Wagle, MS, RD, nutritionist and professor at SJ State University,

nutrition

Kate Hayner, EdD, OTR/L, professor of occupational therapy at

Merritt College, adapting to adaptability

Hope to see/meet some of you there! I'll be working at the registration table.

Regards,

Robin Riddle

to close on 3/31. It's no problem to register at the door!
