Guest guest
I use the visual prompt of putting my finger to my ear. I also stop talking immediately if he interrupts and look away. [ ] teaching your child to be part of a conversation without interrupting????????/ I have problems with my son interrupting a conversation. Is there away you can teach your son and yourself to let him to be a part of a conversation instead of him interrupting? Thanks,
Guest guest
Use a gesture cue (e.g. finger in a certain position) and teach him to wait until the gesture is commenced to start talking. have him identify or label instances of you being busy (and not available) sometimes- kids don't get that they are interuppting anything. (how many seconds of a pause should there be before he starts) teach him to tap you to get attention instead of verbally interuppting so it's not so offensive. Use cue cards- text or symbol.
