Description:This 2 day workshop is designed to provide consultants,

therapists and parents (who take an active role in their child's

language program) with guided practice in teaching early to advance

learners with autism in the natural environment. The participants

will spend most of their time viewing video taped illustrations and

practicing the methods of effective instruction demonstrated during

the Intro Workshop. Participants will recieve the opportunity to

develop NET programs of all learner levels and will receive precise

feedback on their teaching methods. The conference will cover, in

detail, the following objectives:

Using the ABLLS

How to teach using guided instruction

Lesson Plan Development

Teaching the early to advance manding repitiores

Manipulating motivating operations

Teaching non vocal early learners

Teaching vocal sounds to non vocal learners

Transitioning from sign to vocal verbal behavior

Data collection in the NET

Teaching receptive,tacting,intraverbal and motor im for early to

advance learners

Generalizing skills taught in intensive teaching to the natural

environment

Teaching advanced learners to request information using WH questions

Teaching advanced learner to answer novel WH questions and recall

past events

Teaching reciprocal conversation for the advance learner

Teaching childrenn of all learner levels to engage in independent

play with socially appropriate toys

Teaching social skills for the early to advance learner
