Guest guest
Hi everyone, We have a 1 y.o. healthy Dobie for fitness training, prepping for competition.I am looking for ideas on UWTM parameters for strengthing L/S muscles. My first thought was to lower the water below the trunk, make the limbs work harder so that the trunk has to stabilize without the benefit of the buoyancy of the water. Since hip and secondary lumbar extension is primarily passive on the moving belt, it would seem increasing the speed would not be of much benefit. Does anyone have any thought or other ideas how to target this area in the TM? Also, as for land ex., I am a little concerned about a lot of begging or dancing at this age and it being too much compression for the spine...any thoughts? Thanks Pavlakos,PT, CCRP
