update

First I wanted to tell all of the new people " welcome " This is truly

a great place to be. Everyone here has made me feel at homeand very

loved. With this group and everyone here, I no longer feel alone.

ok now on to an update or Robbie. Hope ya'all remember me and him.

he is my 7yr old that has PANDAS, OCD, ADHD anxiety etc.... we have

been dealing with rage out bursts lately as well.

Since the rage outburst, he has been good (knock on wood) I have seen

little to no OCD or anxiety at all. I still see problems controling

anger when he gets upset or frustrated.

They said that this can all go nto remission like it came. I dont

want to jinx anything but this last week has been much easier. What

I do see now is the ADHD and some days that is very bad. He looks

like he just did a line of cocaine as his eyes will be buggin out of

his head if that makes any sense, (and no I am not a druggie, I

worked in a psych hostial with many people who self medicated with

what ever drug they could get their hands on)

So today we saw the doc again. He had 2 appointments, one with Dr.

and one with Dr. Storch. Dr Storch had to cancel as his wife

had a baby girl this morning. Found out today that the insurance

isnt covering, they gave me an option to take him to someone who is

in the insurance network but is one of the top specialists so

I said we will do self pay. Its $116 a pop and right now we are at 7

visits!!!! That makes a whopping $812 we owe right now.

The good part is that they said as long as we are making an attempt

they will keep seeing him and they will work with us so that was a

relief.

Ok so now for the big question.... we talked today about his adhd and

they are going to try some medication. I want to know if anyone has

delt with Methylin? They are putting Robbie on 2.5mg 3x a day. they

said that is the most mildest dose and they want to get a baseline

for him so they know what his threshold is and where we need to go.

Anyone know about of might have delt with this med?
