Guest guest
There are a few different stifle brace companies out there, however human literature has not found bracing to be consistently better than not bracing in cruciate-deficiency. The modalities you have should be useful and then finding ways to get her to use the leg and strengthen it. I can provide you some additional information on conservative management of these cases (designed based on human research and converted for dog use). Let me know and I can post you the paper off line...(I’m on another chat group and got in trouble recently for attaching a document to a list-serve!) Guest guest
Hello Laurie, I would also like a copy, please. My client's lab had a surgery that didn't go well about 3 years ago. While I got him back to at least use the leg to some degree he now has a lot of instability and DJD in this stifle. We have been discussing possibly a stifle brace, I just have no experience with it at all (I am a fulltime equine veterinarian who is just seeing some dogs for chiropractic and acupuncture on the side). Guest guest
Laurie, It sounds to me that given the popularity of your info, it would be well suited for the 'files' section of this listserv. I will have to defer to the list moderators if this is an inappropriate use of that section.
