Guest guest
You might want to consult you GP or even your GI doctor over that. I would want some answers as to why there is so much pain during and after the spasm. If the meds are not working then there might be something else they could try. sorry I cannot help any more than that. in Suffolk
Guest guest
I don't know that I have ever experienced a spasm like that. I would talk to your dr about that. I take nothing for pain like that. Sometimes I feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable in my back and chest and sometimes food helps, sometimes I have it ALL DAY..its unpredictable. I would double check with your dr first. Good Luck Dawn in Ohio > > Hello to everyone. You may not recognize me as I haven't posted in > quite sometime. I read your messages as time allows though. Guest guest
Hi, I too have experienced spasms of the type you mention. You said " I am currently dissolving hyoscyamine sl .125 under my tongue ". That's what I take as well, and it seems to work. Sometimes, tho, right after it finishes dissolving, I guzzle as much ice cold water as I can, then dissolve another tablet. That combo has not failed me yet. Guest guest
HI - I don't know your name, will you please sign it next time? I had the same thing going on for YEARS. I always thought they were spasms and that just sometimes they were unforgiving. Up all night, tight chest pain, I had mine with some vomiting. What I found out was that I was having Gall Bladder attacks. Have you had your GB checked? They can do an ultrasound to check for stones. Now you can have stones without having attacks, I don't know how to tell you the difference between GB attacks and spasms - I had both for so long, I just thought they were variations on the same thing. I will tell you that since my lap GB removal this past July - I feel great!! I have FAR FEWER spasms or whatever than I have had for years!! I even called my GI to let him know because maybe there's some connection - the GB attack caused spasms or spasms caused the GB attacks or something. My only regret is that this wasn't found sooner so that I could've dodged all those years of excrutiating pain. My son who is 12 and has A and also had the heller Myotomy done just a few weeks ago.He has begun to have these spasms more after his surgery and they are horrible. To the point he has been in the floor in so much pain.Sometimes they last only a few min sometimes about an hour n half.I hope to talk to his Dr further about these to see if he can be given some kinda med to take when one comes on. Lots of good advice on here to at least give a try.I would still contact your Dr to check out everything else.Hope you feel better soon!!! Tonia > > Hello to everyone. Guest guest
Hi, Whenever I switch anti-acid meds and while I am adjusting to them, my spasms increase. I tried hyoscyamine and found it did not work for me. Nifedipine works best for me, just have to deal with the headache. Also I have to eat every couple of hours, if I go too long without food I have nasty spams. Makes driving to school fun. Cream of wheat works for me sometimes. Especially when I get the spasms at night. Although I would go to my GI especially if the spasms are worse the last couple of months -Lisbeth
Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am e-mailing you today because I need your advice in the following matter: During the school year, a body system was set up for my son. Each day, the teacher would pick 2 of his peers to play with him at recess time. For the past 3 months what has been happening is that almost the entire class joins in to play with my son. I know is very nice of them to do that but I am finding is to distructed for my son and not only that but I am also finding that because there is too many kids playing, my son doesn't get a chance to kick the ball when they are playing soccer. I am thinking of telling the teacher that next year, she should talk to the class and tell them that only the bodies should play with my son during recess time, that way it will give my son a chance to participate in the game. by only having the bodies playing with him, it will give him a chance to kick the ball as well as challenging it. Please give me your advice. Do you think I am doing the right thing?. I don't want the class to feel bad but I have to think about my son and I think by having too many kids playing with him is not going to benefit him at all. What is your advice? Thanks very much. .
