Any tips on Verbal Imitation?

Hi All, I have some troubles to teach a 2 yrs-old kid verbal

imitation. Even he can say several words such as baby, daddy, mommy

etc, but he is not following me on verbal imitation. I have no way to

prompt him either. I have tried this for several weeks and no

progress noticed. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have a child that is 11 and had the same perdicement with him since he

was 2 yrs old, he has several words but would RARELY imitate me when

requested. When I went to Wayman Learning Center this yr we found out

that it is a non compliance issue. Once we had the behavior under

better control that has changed.
