Hi everybody:

I'm translating an article on " radioterapia " and I'm not sure if

endartritis rádica and enderitis rádica means " radicular " . Can anybody PLEASE

help me with these terms?

On the other hand there is the spanish abreviation " RTU " and I'm not sure how to

put it into english. The article is about radioterapy.

In this case, " endarteritis rádica " and " enteritis rádica " (I assume

endartritis and enderitis were typos) mean " radiation[-induced]

endarteritis " and " radiation enteritis " or " radiation enteropathy " .

You would find " rádico/a " neither in the Diccionario de la Real Academia

nor in any medical dictionary, the name for these conditions being " XXX por

radiación " or " XXX por irradiación " . It probably comes from the French

" radique " and now begins to be used in some documents that may have a

(wrong) terminological influence among Spanish doctors, such as

Conny, is your translation about bladder or prostatic cancer? In this case,

RTU could mean " resección transuretral " :

Transuretral resection, TUR

Transuretral resection of the prostate: TURP

Transuretral resection of the bladder: TURB
