Guest guest
I am trying to locate a CABA, or someone very well-seasoned in ABA to work with older autistic children. Is it true that past 12-years-old, a consultant is required to have an adolescent psychology license in order to evaluate and set up a program? My child has had therapy since two-years-old, but behavior is still a big issue, especially worse since he is in puberty. His therapists said that he didn't need ABA, but I think that it is probably the missing piece to the puzzle. Is it ever too late age-wise to do ABA? What's the difference in the Carbone Verbal Behavior approach, Lovaas, and Sundberg-Partington? It's all so confusing to me. I have the people to train, the resources to spend, but I want to spend the money wisely because we are retired. Do any of you know about any therapists from New Orleans who may want to re-locate to Central Louisiana? I'm hoping to find someone who was displaced after Hurricane Katrina who may want to move, even temporarily, to my area. I am 190 miles from New Orleans. Thanks. Flo Thibeaux floarise3@...
