Guest guest
Hi We are thinking of moving to Hamilton, ON and would like to get some ideas on what supports are available for children with autism. Our son is 7 years old, home schooled with a IBI VB program, run basically by myself with some paid help. We were in the PAS program but lost services at age 6. We were on the wait list, but since the Government won we loose again. Our son is very easy going, happy, non-aggressive, and non-verbal. We would likely be in Hamilton Centre, area 22, I believe it is ward 4. I'd like to know anything you could tell me about ... - Schools - good and bad Catholic and Public - Private schools - Consultants - Possibility of Co-op or team sharing of staff - Has any body had success (or failure) with Mohawk students? If so how did you get them? Who did you contact? - Doctors, Dentists who are good with our kids - Biomedical Supports - who will do B12 injections? Good places to get supplements? Are Kirkman products sold any where? Group ordering Co-op? - Diet supports - GFCF - where to get stuff - How active is the local chapter of the Autism Society or now called Autism Ontario? Any help you could offer we be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rose
