DVmax is an exceptional program. It is very easy to use and and prints very organized files for your clients at discharge. I use it in an emergency practice and can get files completed in a very short period of time. I have used Avimark, connerstone and animal intelligence. DVmax is my favorite program. Tim DVM, CCRT. Does anyone use an apple/Mac computer? If so, which software are you using? I know DVmax is compatible, but I have never used it, if any if you have and have comments on it? Thanks in advance. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday. Jo Byron, DVM

Hi Jo,

We use exclusively Apple computers at the clinic and we use DVMax. We have used

it for years, but in 6 mos we are going to convert to PCs and a different

software (can't remember which one). There were many complaints about Macs and

DVMax. Some of which I think are valid, but I think the majority is the lack of

comfort using Macs. I, myself, am a big fan of Macs, but when it comes to vet

medicine, I think the software and people are not as Mac-friendly. But, as with

any software, there are pros and cons, deciding the best fit for your clinic and

purpose of use, would seem to help most in deciding your software.

I have used DVMax, Animal Intelligence, and Cornerstone before. I have not met

a software yet that received overwhelming rave reviews.

Good luck,

Jackie

Hi all,

Due to the uniqueness of the

rehab business, we simply use Quickbooks for our front end invoicing, receipts,

etc., and AppointmentsPro (www.spectrasoft.com)

for our appointment scheduling.

We also use a piece of

software we wrote called Matrix which you can demo at www.tops-vet-solutions.com/matrix.html

which we use to capture information from our evaluations and rechecks and turn

it into a letter back to the referring veterinarian. This has been a huge

timesaver for us because we can literally turn our eval letters around the same

day.

Many had asked us about it, so about a year ago we

decided to make it non-TOPS specific and offer it for sale. There is a limited

functionality trial version if you want to test drive it.
