Guest guest
Hi all, I have attached below a posting for a teaching job in Ann Arbor, Michigan for an elementary special education teacher to work with children on the autism spectrum. Our parent group is actively involved with our district to try to find the best folks for the job. We have a new Autism Coordinator this year, who has excellent credentials and experience, very pro-ABA and she is a precision teacher, a BCBA (or soon to be one). So I think the job will be very interesting for someone with both the teaching credentials and a behavioral background/inclination. The Autism coordinator is in the process of developing autism programming for all of the kids in our district, so these classrooms (there may be more than one open as well) will really be a chance to develop a great level of service to really make a difference for these kids! And our parent group REALLY would love to get someone with ABA experience and training, as well as direct instruction and precision teaching experience too. Ann Arbor is a wonderful college town, as long as you don't mind cold weather (although we haven't had much snow this year!). A very nice place to live! :-) Please see the web page link at the bottom if you might be interested. Just FYI, our special education administrator is Pam Krogness and our autism coordinator is Beth Swatsky. Contact info is below if you want to talk or email them as well. Pam Krogness: krogness@... Beth Swatsky: swatsky@...
