Guest guest
Hello, I normally recommend fish oil to many of my patients. However, I have a patient that has had a history of pancreatitis 3 yrs ago. I am wondering if giving fish oil would be an issue w/ his history? (5y MN Yorkie 15.8# w/ bilat luxating patellas and poss. part cruciate tears) Thank you and have a great weekend everyone. Jackie BTW, I also did receive spam mail from reunion.com ~~~~~~ Jackie Honghern Sharp CCRP Louisville Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services www.lvses.com office fax
Guest guest
I would be careful with the fish oil. My dachshund recently got pancreatitis 3d after starting on it - with no other changes or dietary indiscretions. I also had 1 poodle get it within a week of starting fish oil. Both dogs were on DermCaps. I would check with the referring vet just to be safe and cover you. Mindy , DVM, CCRT
Guest guest
That's what I was worried about. Thank you Dr . Hope you are doing well. It's been a little slow over here, but all the other departments are pretty slow in general too. How's it going your way?
