Hi Lori.

Absolutely! I use the Polar HR Monitor with the Wearlink Transmitter ESPECIALLY underwater. We've had great results in getting "real time" HR feedback for underwater treadmill and swim patients.

HI everyone,Is anyone using Polar Heart Monitors (human product)? I have been looking into getting one, but was wondering if the transmitters could be used underwater? Any other heart monitors recommended? Thanks!

Amie, could you share the specific type/model number or link to the one you use? Thanx, Robby J Porter III, VT, LMT, CCRPAnimal Rehabilitation CenterMandeville, LA70448

Hi Robby.

Sure...

http://www.polar-usa.us/polar-accessories.html#Polar_WearLink_Coded_Transmitter

It comes standard with SOME Polar HR Monitors but not with all. It's flexible and conforms well to the chest of most dogs. I've had better luck using it in the water (because the electrodes transmit better) than with a dry dog and haven't had to clip fur except for very thick coats.

Hi Amie,

I found one on ebay; Polar FS1 or A5 HR Monitor belt and watch but is not coded

or

wearlink. Do you rec? or does it need to be coded for underwater? I can't seem

to find any

info on it.

Thanks!
