Introduction to Verbal Behavior by J. Carbone, EdD, BCBA

Parents, therapists and educators are invited to learn the

behavioral approach to teaching communication skills to children

with autism and other developmental disabilities. This

comprehensive three-day workshop covers the recommended teaching

procedures for children who have no verbal communication skills to

those that are near conversational speakers. Dr. Carbone describes

and demonstrates errorless teaching, effective prompting and fading

procedures, and the proper use of discrete trial training in both

the natural environment and during intensive teaching sessions.
