Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Ill reply to more of your post later, but wanted to wish you a great weekend in Branson. I've not seen the Noah production...but have spent a lot of time in Branson, as Micah loves the go cart track, and Silver dollar City. It will be a great time to enjoy the lights and some time alone. Have a wonderful, wonderful time! In a message dated 12/5/2008 10:49:28 A.M. Guest guest
, I am so glad it worked out finally, but you NEVER should have been given that run around. Hopefully, though, your struggle might pave the way for someone else, too. It's just too bad the " big guns " had to be brought in, but the important thing is the result! Vicki, I wouldn't worry too much about your son's antics; my 11 yr old walks around in his underwear despite us getting all over him (at least he wears boxers, not whitie tighties, lol!) I think boys do things just for the shock value. And NEVER, NEVER feel guilty about getting out; you NEED that time to reconnect as adults and partners. Now for my good news! We got to see a real-live psychiatrist today at 7am (yawn!). He was STUPENDOUS! He listened, talked to both me and , asked lots of questions, and did I mention, he LISTENED?! So, the end result is that is being put on 10mg on Lexapro (he said it's more expensive, but we'd see results faster than with Celexa or Anafranil). Since our trip is coming up in two months, we went with it. We're to titer her down on the Zoloft while starting her on the Lexapro at the same time. And guess what; he actually wants to follow up and see how she's doing! What a refreshing change of pace! Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Just wanted to say how good it is to hear some good news! So happy for you that you have connected with a psychiatrist, and as you say he " listened " . Just wanted to mention that I think lexapro is twice as potent to celexa, we've used both, but were'nt told this and as we switched the dosing was problematic. Sounds like you have a good doc so he probably has thought through and discussed the dosing with the change, but just wanted to mention it in case. Always found the maxim " go slow and stay low " helpful in our experience. Enjoy your weekend away! Barb > Now for my good news! We got to see a real-live psychiatrist today at 7am (yawn!).
