Yummy shake

Hi!

I've been working on this for a few weeks. I tried kiwi in one of my shakes. I

didn't like it as

well...it was more icey like a slush. I guess it was okay for a change, but not

as creamy as

banana. Here is my favorite so far:

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1/4 cup vanilla or chocolate protein powder

1 tablespoon whole flax seed

1/8 cup oatbran

1 banana

Put the yogurt and banana in the blender first. Then grind the flax seeds and

add to the

blender mix. Add protein and oatbran. Blend briefly, then scrape down inside of

blender.

I like to add fresh ground nutmeg, cinnamon and orange zest at this point.

(Makes it taste

like a cookie!) Then add a 12 oz. glass full of crushed ice and blend.

Depending on the type of protein you use this recipe has about 30 grams of

protein

including the 5 from the yogurt. The flax and oatbran probably add a small

amount too.

I'm often asked if the protein has an after-taste. I've never noticed any.
