These translations are not " official " , just common sense. The American

" system " of health care is not equivalent to systems in other countries.

case manager - I would use " responsable / encargado / gerente /

administrativo responsable ... del caso "

outreach/community worker - if this is as synonym for " social worker " , and I

suspect that it is, in Spain we say " asistente social " . The " outreach "

business comes from a proactive stance in which you don't just wait for

people who need your services to come to you, you try to reach the target

population.

adherence specialist - assuming that an " adherence specialist " is someone

specialized in motivating patients to stick to their treatments (for

example, drug addicts), rather than someone specilized in the adherence of

bandages, skin grafts or any of a number of things that adhere, the function

would be included in what we call " psicoterapia de apoyo " . If you want to

use a specific term, " especialista en facilitar el cumplimiento " or

something of the sort might serve.

managed care organization - " managed care " is only " contención de gastos " in

the eyes of investors and stockholders. The term only exists so that

Americans can distinguish these " new " systems from their previous " unmanaged

care. " Countries with public health-care systems have had managed care for

decades. I have seen " asistencia gestionada " used in translations.
