Tics and impact on hearing/eyesight?

Has anyone's child experienced any changes in hearing or eyesight in

connection with a tic?

My son had his eyesight and hearing tested at school during the 5 week

episode where he had a severe body tic that made his whole upper body

jerk. Letters came home telling us we needed to have both his eyes and

hearing checked. Yet, when he had his eyes checked a month earlier

(pre-tic)as part of his annual checkup, his eyes were fine. His eyes

and hearing were both fine when checked at school last year.

Now the tic is gone (it coincided with strep but we're not sure if

PANDAS is the diagnosis). We have an appt with a new pediatrician

after Christmas and I'll bring it up with her then. But I was just

wondering if anyone else had any similar experience.
