Hi BJ, gosh its been a long 2 weeks.

He switches to 10 mg in a couple of days....I sure hope it kicks in soon.

Of all the things.....this is the hardest to deal with.

the laundry....killing my back, and of course the weather's bad, so I'm

having to do all this with a pounding migraine. ice storm coming in

tonight.....yippee..... :(

Just to wash his linens.......4 loads, plus all the extra undies and

PJ's.......this old lady... is worn out.

I'm worried about his quilt and shams, I may not give them back for a while.

they were 400.00, and are hand quilted, they just cant take all this

washing, I just bought them this past summer, Id like them to last at least a

year.

;)

Thanks for listening to me whine ;)

Hi, . It took at least a week before we noticed anything, and

then it was not a lot, just a little shift. From there it just got

gradually better. But, there were up and down times also, during that

time, before things finally stablilized. So, I would guess it's still

a bit early to see anything. Gosh, those days seem to drag by though.

It's good you figured out what is causing him to get stuck, .

Then the therapist can fashion an exposure to try to help him overcome

it.

I bet doing all that extra laundry is getting old. :o/ I feel for you.

Hi and Other Moms,

Do you ladies know about Freecycle?

www.freecycle.org/

Check if there is a group near you.

The reason I mention this is because several times recently

I have gotten boxes of bedding for FREE, . Good condition bedding.

People get new things, and are glad to share with others directly

rather than simply dropping items at Goodwill...

I was told about Freecycle from a friend, and found a group

for my county that is just outside of Nashville. Everyone

participating is other moms just like us. It is absolutely

free to join a group in your area. No strings attached.

People post things they are offering for free, as well as things

they need and would like for free. Then you email them

telling them you are interested, and usually it is

the first person who responds that gets the items. Many times

people have even more to give then the item posted,

so be sure to speak up about your needs. I have gotten bedding,

table and chairs, tons of clothing, a camcorder, dishes,

fresh fruit and vegetables- all kinds of things!!! This will

help all of you. Don't be shy about posting WANTED as well-

I have gotten brave to do that, and so many times my needs are met.

If your OCD kids are picky (like mine are) I use Freecycle

for my own needs (like clothing...) so then I can use my money

for my kids' situations...

Hope that helps!

Yes we have freecycle near me, city listed is about 25-30 minutes

away. I haven't used it but do belong and look and see what's listed

sometimes. I think when I joined we had to live within " so many "

miles of this city - which we do. It'd be nice to live in a larger

city and have one right here in mine! It is a great thing they got

going with freecycle.

Yeah, the bedding needs to be put away, before it falls apart....hand

stitching can only take so much. 3 washes or so a week not too good for it. I'm

beat.

His handwriting's improving. I can read it again. So hopefully we're on our

way to things getting better. Buttons/switches still a problem but I've not

noticed him having trouble with doorways, and rugs.

So I'm hopeful this med will work. He's not mentioned any side effects

either.

Awwwww, , whine away. You are in a good place to do it, if you

feel inclined. We've all done it at times. Nothing easy about OCD,

that's for sure. It has the potential to bring you to your knees.

That's where I often pray anyway, and have done a lot of it while I

was down there.

Yikes, I'm with you. .. Put that expensive bedding away until he gains

a victory over the wetting.

Glad you are doing weekly therapy now. Hoping you see some good

results soon.
