this site looks like a tremendous resource:

http://www.naturalhub.com

from the site:

" The first section is 'About Natural Foods'. Thinking about which foods are

health building and safe, how to choose it, how to prepare it.

The second section is on 'Growing your own' fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts, and

animals. Realistic and practical information of genuine use to the small space

suburban and farmlet food gardener

The third section is on 'Gathering your food' from the wild, or hunting it. It

consolidates the best gathering and hunting sites in one page of selected

links. "

it also contains directories of sources of natural foods for most of the

english-speaking world.

haven't had a chance to explore it all...or even 1/10th of it <g>--

This is a FASCINATING site and it looks like a tremendous resource! Thanks!

Unfortunately, it seems like the authors are more or less in the Loren

Cordain low-fat paleo camp. For example, they discuss the importance of

minimizing the palmitic acid content of lard by feeding pigs various feeds

including soy oil. Bleck! <g>

Still a very valuable site for all the resource listings and articles, and

ironically, a decent source of some info on the effects of different feeds

on the composition of meat animals, as long as you keep in mind where

they're coming from.
