SPEECH/LANGUAGE SPECIALIST:

Responsible for providing assessments of communication needs as well

as direct speech therapy for students enrolled at the s

Developmental Disabilities Center, specifically the Elementary

Satellite Annex in Freehold School District, Freehold, NJ.

Requires a bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field

plus two years of clinical experience with students with autism.

Must have NJ certification for Speech-Language Specialist/Speech

Correction. Requires experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

with a team approach to planning and service delivery. Additional

qualifications held by preferred applicants include a master's degree

in Speech Pathology with one year experience in providing

communication programming to students with autism; Certificate of

Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association,

NJ Licensure; one year supervisory experience; and knowledge of

advanced communication and behavioral technology. Selected

candidates will be subject to a criminal history background check.

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER:

Coordinate educational and behavioral programming for early

elementary age students with developmental disabilities, specifically

autism, enrolled at the s Developmental Disabilities Center

(DDDC); train and supervise university graduate and undergraduate

practicum students; work with families of students who attend the

DDDC; supervise teaching assistants and other professionals at the

Center.

Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a

related field from an approved facility, NJ Teacher of the

Handicapped Certification, ability to meet NJ Department of

Education's requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher, NJ Driver's

License. Must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience working with

individuals with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
