Guest guest
I'm so sorry to hear about your son's dilemma. That must be frustrating and scary. My son takes natural products from a company called Neuro Science. You could call them and they could put you in touch with a dr. in your area that could test your son (neuro transmitter test via urine sample) and prescribe the meds. The number is 1-. We have had a lot of success with these products. It is costly because insurance doesn't cover it since it is not a pharmaceutical but nutrients. However, we thought it was worth not having to deal with side effects and possible dangers. There are no quick or easy answers for these kids so it's just good to explore all the options so you'll know what works best for your child. My prayers are with you! ________________________________ To: allison ; CHERYL ANNE ; joyce bhfriend bill ; caringsharingsisters ; cathy ; Cherished-Friends ; Christian_Incredimail_Friends ; christianmommies ; ChristianScrapbookingSisters ; christina ; Circleofpenpalsandfriendships ; Crasten ; dianesingsforjoy ; elizabeth penpalfriend 2 ; femalesnailmailpalexpress ; Frazz ; GodsFriendshipCorner ; Liz H ; Dawn Hall ; Hinkle ; Lorraine Hover ; Jonsson ; JoyFilledFriends ; Freda Kaprielian ; Sue Karleskint ; Kathie Knudsen ; kathy Langston ; linda suppfbp ; little_blessings ; A Mendoza ; H.O.P.E. Guest guest
Hi, I don't know of anything, prescribed or nonprescribed, that you could try that would work in so short of time. Usually takes weeks to gain any benefits (if any) from a med or supplement. Did he recently begin this combination of the 3 medications? So far as what you can try for OCD that is over-the-counter, inositol powder is what many parents have tried. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. It's hard to find locally and is much more expensive in a local store, so online is the best place to order it. There's no particular brand that is better than the others. We used Source Naturals inositol powder and I ordered it online from www.iherb.com There are also products that others have used from Native Remedies online. Pure Calm and Mind Soothe, I believe, are the products from them that others have liked. I'm sorry you're having to look at switching medications. Could he stay on the OCD med and stop one of the others? I'm just thinking that ADHD meds take effect faster than a medication for OCD, if having to switch. > > Hi > > My son jacob is ten 11 on the 24 and is in fifth grade and was diagnosed with both adhd and ocd at the end of first grade.
