RDI and the ABLL-R

This email is in response to a recent message to the group that, somewhat

broadly, discussed the merits of RDI vis-a-vis ABA. I should like those who

would claim that applied behavior analysts have not considered, have ingnored,

or simply aren't adequately aware of the (arguably) broad spectrum of human

experience (e.g., what functions as reinforcement) and, consequently, have

turned to " disciplines " such as RDI or theories involving " mind " for better

answers that there is, in fact, a much better answer with ABA written all over

it. I highly recommend the ABLLS-R for just this grand purpose (understanding

and training many of the subtleties of human interaction). Dr. Partington has

tackled what has needed to be tackled for some time, and, in my professional

opinion, done a spectacular job.
