*Easy to use data collection systems for classrooms

and parents

*Effective components of a behavior intervention plan

*Effective treatments based on function: How to

prevent, treat, and replace problem behaviors

*Teaching procedures that increase instructional

control

About the presenter:

Kelle Wood received her B.S. in the Study of

Exceptional Students from Texas Christian University

in 1992. She taught elementary special education in a

public school for three years before returning to

graduate school. She received her M.Ed. in Behavioral

Interventions from the University of North Texas in

1996. She returned to the same school district as a

behavior specialist, then as the autism specialist.

It was there, Ms. Wood began her mentorship with Dr.

Vince Carbone while developing two pilot ABA

classrooms in the district. Ms. Wood received her

certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in

1999. Currently, Ms. Wood is the owner and Executive

Director of the Central Texas Autism Center, Inc. in

Austin, Texas. She consults and lectures around the

world to parents and autism professionals. She is

also pursuing her Ph.D. in Special Education/Autism at

the University of Texas, Austin.
