Guest guest
Hi everyone, We made it back from the class trip last night. Yosemite was beautiful and the weather couldn't have been better. It was a bit logistically challenged because of the rock slide last month, and we had to be bussed into the valley, but we made it. Joei did wonderful!!! She was in another hiking group during the day and with me in my cabin with 3 other girls in the evening. Every once in a while our hiking groups would walk near each other and I would catch a glimpse of her. This was the most relaxed I had seen her since the OCD started in July. She didn't even hang on me (or with me) at night time, she was happy just to be with everyone else. It was truly beautiful to see. She had some thoughts Thursday evening after one of the girls told her that her stomach ache might be pin worm (good grief! Lol ) and climbed into bed with me but they subsided quickly and she went to sleep. I was actually sick on Monday and hung back, and her best buddy was sick Thursday/Friday - she obsessed very slightly on that and did very well on changing her thinking. I was so proud of her. I'm knocking on wood here as I say... I think the Zoloft might be working. It was a good week for me as well. I got to have some time in beautiful nature, challenge myself a bit physically (ok. a LOT) and get out of my own head. I did some journaling and some of my AA step work and was able to make some clear decisions on where life needs to go. I will be quitting my job next week. Gulp. This is huge for me, I've been going back and forth on this for a year. I'm a bit scared, but excited to see where things go. It is time to distress life a bit. It's nice to be home. It's really nice to be away from allllllllllllllllll those kids to! Haha Welcome to anyone new to the list this week! ~~Kathy gkathy40@... yahoo messenger id : gkathy40@...
