Guest guest
Welcome to the group Lois! You don't necessarily have to be an inspiration (especially not in the beginning), just soak up all the energy that is transcended in this email group. I guarantee you, you will find the necessary motivation to go on this journey with us. Good luck! > > Hi Elena & All: > > I'm a real " newbie " . I just got my tapes on Monday. Guest guest
Welcome . Best of luck. Steve Bkr wrote: Hi! My name is from Grants Pass, OR. I've been listening to IOWL on iTunes and just love it! I was slender until just after I got married (15 years ago) and with each baby, I gained way more than I should have. I've about 110 pounds to lose from my 5'2 " frame and hope that I'll be able to get off my diabetes meds and have less joint pain from carrying around basically another person. I've done just about every horrible diet related thing I could do to myself over the years, gaining more weight back each time I attained my goal weight...sigh. I've lost 10 pounds in 2 months since starting to listen to IOWL, while trying to learn about my various food and body image issues. Guest guest
Hi , I'm a " newbee " to the group also, and a fellow North- Westerner (Whidbey Island) ... and we're on this journey together! 10 lbs in 2 months is awesome! I've lost 4 in 1 month. I've just about given up the scale, though ... I'm more into how I feel (energy, motivation, mood & such) ... & how I'm getting into my clothes (!) I'm finding that these things tell me way more than the scale ... & they tell me all I need to know. I'm glad to be here, too, and glad to meet you! > > Hi! My name is from Grants Pass, OR. Guest guest
Hi Joni, My lack of self-acceptance has also lead to " binge-shopping. " I'm working on that, too, b/c neither has been good for my marriage and my husband is a lovely and kind man. You're in the right place. I wish you ease and peace for your journey. Jenn.
