Guest guest Posted April 3, 2007 Report Share Posted April 3, 2007 I don't have much time to write, but here's a few things that helped our very slow-learning son. 1. Use objects, not pictures 2. For the Sd, do not use any words except the word you are trying to teach. (ex: instead of " touch apple " , just say " apple " ). You don't want to distract the child with extraneous words. 3. Use behavioral momentum. Since he is so good at matching, 1st have him match the item, with the Sd " match apple " , then touch it 4.
