Guest guest
I hear you . I have done that too and gone and talked to a nutritionist who is also a counselor. She said that in my case I sabotage myself because I don't really believe I can do this, it is too hard and then I come down hard on myself and re-recreate some family of origin scenarios all on my own. Our sub-conscious and body mind are powerful forces. I am working on changing my belief system - replacing thoughts of it is so hard - to I can do much harder things than this - I can do this! Replacing thoughts that the food is calling me to the fact that food is an inanimate object and has no power over me. Lots of things like that - first you have to identify your beliefs about food/dieting/bodyimage/ etc. and then you have almost re-program yourself with more positive beliefs. I use something called affirmative prayer to help me - I can and thank you sorts of prayers. I do note that the bad beliefs can be more powerful if my hormones are a bit crazy or I'm overly stressed - go back to subconscious behaviors Good Luck --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Thanks for the information. I think that your pod casts are great. I have listened to them many times. What I like about them is that every thing you have said in them applies directly to me. I feel like they are customized for the way I think. I know the key to success is all in my head and my self talk is what keeps me on or off track. It just seems that our old thought patterns are so much stronger then the new ones I am trying to stay focused on. It seems like every time I feel like I have things under control. I am off on a binge. I look forward to your next pod cast. Thank You Diane son wrote: I hear you . I have done that too and gone and talked to a nutritionist who is also a counselor.
