You know, my psychiatrist just sent me a couple of weeks ago for some

bloodwork. And fortunately (or in my mind unfortunately, as it would be

nice if it was a physical issue not a mental issue) everything came back

fine.

We have given the Cymbalta, including the increase from 60 to 90 mg, months

to reach its full potential. I guess I could give it more time, but would

think I should be feeling better by now. I guess I was lucky with Zoloft,

it seemed to help pretty quickly.

I, like you, used to just go through " bouts " of depression. Lately though,

the bouts are lasting longer and there are shorter periods between bouts.

My biggest concern is sleep, because lack of sleep exaggerates my " yuck "

feelings. I take Lunesta periodically. It works pretty well. I just hate

to take it day after day. Has anyone out there taken Lunesta for a long

period of time?

BTW, , I think you are wonderful.the way you take the time to

respond and help so many people. I hope you know that you are appreciated!

Hi, I can't comment on Cymbalta but was wondering have you had a good

physical in recent years, with bloodwork? Have you had your thyroid

checked?

Did your doctor say how long it would take for Cymbalta to help? I

know it used to be give depression meds 8 weeks to begin to take

effect. And then I imagine (if like SSRIs for OCD), a few weeks

after that it should really begin to help more.

I go thru depressed periods off/on, but a lot of mine

is " situational " I guess, depends on how life is going, etc.

(((hugs)))
