Guest guest
I guess it differs by location. Â Here you can get the services through your local school district, and she could get some behavioral therapy, a la ABA, from them as well. Â PS to Re: Help me understand my five year old P.S. -- can't recall if I said this before. Here in NC, the autism diagnosis will get you help through " developmental disability " type services. But it won't get " mental health " services. For mental health services, need the ADHD or other type diagnoses added on. They have to bill insurance with dx that fits under the service provided. I would research your local DD services and see what is provided in your area. Could be a waiting list, but generally services are VERY helpful once you get in the DD program.
