Guest guest
Hi all, In human PT pre-cautions s/p a total hip replacement are : --no hip abduction --no hip internal rotation --no hip flexion past 90 degrees I've been looking through my canine info and all I can find stated as a pre-caution is no hip abduction. Just wondering if anyone had an answer regarding the no hip flexion past 90 degrees in the canine in terms of PROM. I have a s/p THR client who sits perfectly squarely (thus flexing their hip past 90 degrees). Given the functional biomechanical differences in the canine versus the human in terms of sitting, just wondering thoughts on how much is appropriate to passively flex the hip post THR
