Guest guest
My 10 year old son has ADD, OCD and Tourettes'; his new psychologist also feels he may have Aspergers. He is also highly intelligent. Currently he is taking prozac 20mg, Concerta 27 mg and strattera 40 mg. For the last 2 1/2 months he has been under treatment for tachycardia as his heart rate has consistently been between 120-160. He has been hospitalized, tests have been done, and his heart thoroughly checked- his heart is fine and all Doctors are unsure what the problem is. His thyroid is fine too. When the heart palpatations started we lowered the Concerta, although his doctor was pretty sure this was not the cause as he had been on it two years without problem. Lately we have seen tremors and an increase in ticks, namely his eyes rolling back into his head. His cardiologist thinks we should take him off the ADD meds as they can cause tremors- anyone have any experience with this? I am concerned what will happen at school if we do go off the ADD meds too as the difference when he forgets his medicine is great.... Thanks for reading.
