Guest guest Posted June 9, 2007 Report Share Posted June 9, 2007 Hello all, Check out: TCLC Summer Institute 2007 Applied Behavior Analysis Classrooms 23 - 27 July 2007 - Hilton, , Mississippi http://www.tclc.com/pr01.htm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Time: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Date: 07/23/ through 07/27/07 The summer institute will be a five day event with the first three days recommended for teachers, aides, coordinators, and administrators and the final two days being recommended for teachers, coordinators and administrators. The conference will cover a vast array of methods for teaching, data collection, determining function of behavior as well as assessment of learning and language behavior and daily living behavior. In addition a special focus will be placed on language development and inclusion in regular education environments. In addition to cutting edge information in experimental education and empirically based curriculum of instruction each participant will receive resource materials to assist in assessment, data collection, and curriculum planning. Three Day Conference The three day conference will cover topics such as data collection, understanding, using, and measuring the strength of reinforcers, and many typical methods of instruction. In addition three day attendees will receive instruction in identifying the function of behavior, completing a descriptive analysis and understanding and using functional analysis to determine maintaining variables for behavior. Trainers will use hands-on participation as well as other media including video during these three days. Five Day Conference For those attending all five days of the conference the additional two days will be spent exclusively reviewing an in-depth behavior repertoire assessment of language and learning operants (CHLOE). This instruction will assist attendees to complete the assessment and then use it to drive IEP goals as well as a tracking system for progress throughout the school year. Attendees will also learn to use the K-6 Inclusion Assessment and Placement Instrument (K6-IAI) which offers teachers and schools the opportunity to use a single instrument across all students to measure and place them using the same standard for least restrictive environment (LRE). --------------------------------- Be a better Heartthrob.
