Guest guest
HI and welcome this is an amazing community of like minded folks. I spent years on call and that means sleep deprivation and when it's been extremely stressful and I am sleep deprived I used to want greasy junk !! I actually recommend lying in bed and reading medical textbooks, they seem to work for me to put me to sleep every time! I have lots of old ones if ya need some!!! (LOL) welcome again! Guest guest
Ah on a more serious note - I have ear plugs and an eye mask that makes it look and sound like night. Ihave one of those machines that plays rain or surf noises but it only seemed to irritate me. Guest guest
Thanks for the offer, I do have a couple of books that will put me to sleep too. I actually fall asleep without a problem, anytime, anywhere. I have a very hard time staying asleep more then 3 hours. And when I get really tired, the only thing that goes in my mouth is fat and processed food, the worse it is for my health the more appetizing it is... I know exactly what you are talking about! I actually am starting to use the thechnique where I check with my stomach and try to see how the food i want to eat will make me feel. Guest guest
Welcome!? I'm fairly new to the group too, but I can already see there are some amazing people here and wonderful support!? Deedee Noob alert Hello everyone, I have been listening to for a couple of months, I work nights in a factory environment at a braindead job so I have 8 hours everynight to fill up. I listen to about 5 episodes a nighte. I first just listened and cought up with her around the beginning of november now, I am listening again and am taking notes this time. I was doing real good for a while, setting my intent for the day and making good food choices. Those last 2 weeks ahve been pretty awful and I am starting to re-focus now. Is there anybody else who works nights? Or has to deal with sever sleep depravation? My main focus now and for this coming year is to get more and better sleep. Not only will it help with the weightloss but also with the severe migraines i get every 3 days. This new Yahoo format is a little overwhelming for me but I am sure I'll get use to it. Looking forward to get to know you, get support and offer the support I can.
