autism spectrum ....

Hello everyone,

My little one had her 6 month evaluation (follow-up) with the developmental

pediatrician today. Last year, autism was ruled out. In the fall, she started

displaying more troubling behaviors and difficulties, which became persistent

and have developed more. She will be 3 in March, and this is a " big " time.

Now we have a working provisional diagnosis of autism spectrum - and I have

more work to do on top of the services in place already, and upcoming preschool.

And my 9yo needs glasses and there are things coming up with Girl Scouts and her

school that I need to fit in ... somewhere ... with therapy, Floortime, etc.

[bTW - this has completely tossed out the window any possibility of my doing

CNA in the foreseeable future -- that's being put off indefinitely.]

I'll still be approving memberships and watching posts when possible, along

with Randy and , but I won't be able to participate much (if at all) here

for probably the next two to three months -- at least. I've been stocking up on

soups and more convenience foods due to lack of time for cooking or preparing.

Things got more complicated today, and will be for the time being. Just know

that my silence is NOT a lack of interest or caring, but a lack of time.

I'll be in touch when I can. I am still reachable by e-mail, when I have time.
