And I am referring to moments > when it is served to me, not if I take excess. I have the same issue, with not wanting to waste food. It is not just food, it extends through everything in my life, sometimes to nearly an obsessive-compulsive level. I -have- to use things up completely if it's possible, instead of throwing them away and feeling like I am 'wasting' whatever it is. Apparently this is a common thing, and I've read a lot of different ideas. A main one that sticks in my head is to try to remember and to remind yourself in this situation, with food at least, that even if you don't 'waste' the food by throwing it away, you are still wasting it because it is calories that your body doesn't need. So your body is just going to throw it away, either through waste products or through stored fat that isn't necessary. Either way it's going to be wasted... an -extremely- hard fact for someone like you or I to accept. I tell myself that I would rather it go in the garbage > So those are my three ideas. I think that the ultimate goal, to be a 'naturally slender' person, is to be so closely attuned to your body that you can feel when you need fuel, and you can feel when you're full. This takes a lot of work, I believe it's true that most of us have becomed so disconnected from our own bodies that we don't even try to 'listen' to what's going on with us anymore. I wish you the best of luck with all of your endeavors! This group has provided me a lot of great motivation and insight, I hope it does the same for you.
