Skinner and research in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This two-day workshop presented by Holly Kibbe, MS, BCBA and Cherish s, MS, BCABA, is designed to provide parents, therapists, teachers, consultants and other professionals with information and strategies to teach individuals with autism and other related disorders. During the two-day workshop, participants will learn about ABA/Verbal Behavior and spend a great deal of time viewing video-taped illustrations as well as role-playing examples of good teaching procedures. Participants will learn methods to teach children with autism across various learner levels (early to advanced) in both the natural environment and the one-to-one intensive teaching environment. The participants spend most of their time practicing the methods of effective instruction demonstrated in video-taped illustrations during the Introductory Workshop. The participants are provided supervised practice in small groups in the areas of instruction. Each participant receives precise feedback on their teaching methods and can get feedback on child-specific issues. Developing an IEP for the child in your care is an integral part of this workshop and forms the basis of much of the practice work. Please come prepared with your IEP targets or a completed copy of the ABLLS. Ideally, all members of a team should attend to ensure consistency in approach after the workshop.
